Job description

Have you ever dreamed of combining your passion for sports with making real impact? Our Sports and Health Volunteer Program at Highridge School in Tanzania is your chance! You'll teach a variety of sports and provide health lessons for students from kindergarten to grade 12 (ages 7-18). This isn't just about keeping kids active - you'll develop a full sports curriculum, organize exciting events and fields days, and address misconceptions about health in the local community. With a special focus on soccer and ambitions to develop teams for national competition, your contribution will leave a lasting legacy. Your typical day begins around 8 a.m. at our volunteer house before heading to the nearby school. Mornings are devoted to teaching basic health lessons in well-equipped classrooms, followed by lunch with the children. In the afternoons, you'll teach exciting sports sessions, where you'll coach soccer, basketball or volleyball - or even come up with your own fun activities! You'll work Monday through Friday with optional Saturday activities, working closely with school staff to continually improve the sports program. This is more than a trip - it's a chance to inspire a generation while experiencing Tanzania's vibrant culture and breathtaking landscapes!
