Job description

As an English teaching volunteer in Tanzania, you'll dive into a vibrant educational environment where your skills can really make a difference. Despite simple facilities, these schools are filled with dedicated staff and eager to learn students. You will assist with or teach English and possibly other subjects, depending on your expertise. Your day will begin around 7:30 a.m., working with regular teachers to provide engaging lessons for children ages 6-14. Between helping individual students and leading group activities, you will experience the challenges of teaching in an environment with limited resources. This program requires a minimum commitment of 4 weeks to ensure consistency for the students, but many volunteers extend their stay after forming bonds with these amazing children. Outside of the classroom, you will live in shared accommodation with other volunteers, creating a community of like-minded people with a passion for education and cultural exchange. On weekends, you can explore Tanzania's breathtaking landscapes and rich culture. This is not just teaching - it is a transformative journey that will enhance your professional skills while making a lasting impact on a community that truly appreciates your contribution.
