Job description

This community health project in Tanzania is perfect for medical students and healthcare professionals who want to make a difference while gaining international experience. Instead of working directly in hospitals, you'll focus on sustainable health education in local communities, addressing challenges such as women's health, maternal health, disease prevention and hygiene. Your days will be spent developing and conducting workshops, creating educational materials and working with schools and community groups to improve health awareness. You'll live in a lively volunteer house in Arusha, sharing experiences with like-minded people from around the world. On weekends, you can explore Tanzania's natural beauty, go on safari or just relax. This is more than just volunteering - it's an opportunity to expand your knowledge of public health, learn Swahili, immerse yourself in Tanzanian culture and create lasting positive change in communities with limited access to health care.

The organization charges program fees to make this project possible, we've listed the costs below:

  • 2 weeks (min. stay): €388

  • 7 weeks: €1,359
