Are you adventurous, a travel 'addict' and looking for a new incredibly cool adventure, but don't have any plans yet? No worries, we've got you. Volunteering abroad really should be on your bucket list, if not; here 7 reasons why everyone should do it once in a lifetime!

1. You're doing something good for the world
Have you always wanted to do something good for the world? Help people who need it most and make a difference in someone's life? Volunteering abroad allows you to really mean something to someone! For example, you can volunteer in Argentina to teach sports or teach English in Tanzania. Don't hesitate any longer. Pack your suitcase and go, go, go, the world needs you!

2. You meet new people and discover new cultures
This is perhaps the best part of volunteering abroad, you are never really alone (unless you want to be)! You might get on a plane by yourself, but during your time as a volunteer you get to know very easy new people. Making contact with the other volunteers also goes a lot faster since everyone is there with the same goal. Actually, volunteering is therefore the ideal way to make friends for life worldwide. Already convinced?

3. Nice 'extra' for your CV
A good and strong CV, always nice right? A real 'must-have' for on your curriculum vitae  is volunteering abroad these days. Since you don't get paid for your work, it shows that you are doing it for other reasons. It shows that you care about making a difference and enjoy helping others. Plus, should you not have a lot of work experience, this international experience ideally fills the (gaping) hole on your resume!

4. You get to know yourself
Getting to work as a volunteer abroad is actually an investment in yourself. During your experience abroad, you are largely on your own. This allows you to discover what you want for yourself, what you find interesting and who you really are, it's all up to you. It also gives your self-confidence ahuge boost

5. You get to see something
As a volunteer abroad, in addition to all that "hard" work, you obviously have the opportunity to discover the most beautiful countries. Long live the holidays? In your free time you can discover all the hot spots and 'must-see' places. They are beautiful countries with incredibly kind people. You will quickly notice this hospitality, people invite you to eat at their place and show you the nicest places. In case you didn't get it: truly an experience to remember!

6. You learn to get out of your comfort zone
It's nice to have a place that feels familiar and familiar, but it can also be monotonous and predictable (it's appealing, we know). Sometimes you look for something different and just want to experience something; adventure, excitement, thrill and freedom. That's where the magic happens. While volunteering abroad, you learn to get out of your comfort zone. You will discover that you can feel at home in environments you hardly know. Getting out of your comfort zone makes you more independent, expands your world and gives you new inspiration and ideas.

7. Cliché one, but you enjoy the little things in life again
The smell of your over delicious cappuccino at 8:30 a.m. (in the morning, yes), a hot shower, the conviviality with your friends or a nice drink on the terrace in the sun. 'Enjoy the little things in life,' is one of most famous and cliché pinterest quotes but nonetheless so true. Yet few people do this, they are busy, in a hurry and have little time to enjoy their lord-luk-e life in peace. Volunteering abroad makes you appreciate those little (but oh so special) things in life again. You become aware of how good you actually have it at home (sounds cheesy, but believe us it is true).
Of course there are many more reasons why volunteering abroad is a real must-do. So be sure to let us know in the comments what your reason is for this adventure, we are very curious!
